Last minute Christmas reminders….

Bournebrook C of E Primary School’s

Christmas Events 2017

We are pleased to share with you details of our Christmas celebrations for 2017:

  • On Tuesday 12th December we invite children and parents to join us for “Christingles and Carols” in church at 6.00pm.
  • On Thursday 14th December our musicians perform to the school and their parents at 9.00am.
  • Elm, Willow, Beech and Ash Y5 children will take part in “A Celebration of Christmas” on Friday 15th This event will be different to previous years’ performances and will run as follows:

1.15pm            Willow class perform “Christmas Around the World”

2.00pm            Elm class perform “Busy, Busy Bethlehem”

2.45pm            Beech and Ash Y5 perform “Are We Nearly There Yet?”

Each of these 15 minute performances is separate with a gap in between each. Parents are invited to join us while their child’s class performs.  Parents can then leave (taking their child with them if they wish).  Parents with children in more than one class may, of course, stay for all of these (refreshments will be offered).

We hope parents will enjoy this different way of celebrating at Christmas – more children will get to have a leading role and you will see 15 minutes of your child on stage rather perhaps a fleeting glimpse in 45 minutes. The change also means children do not spend lots of time unnecessarily watching other children rehearse.

No tickets will be issued, but we politely ask that a maximum of 4 family members come to see a child perform.

  • Cherry and Rainbow friends perform their dress rehearsal to grandparents and the school on Monday 18th December at 9.30am and to parents on Tuesday 19th December at 9.30am.
  • Our Christmas Prize Draw will be made in assembly on Thursday 21st December at 9.00am. Parents are welcome to join us. The children’s Christmas dinner is also served on this day.
  • Our end of term service (led by year six pupils) is on Friday 22nd December at 9.00am.
