This morning’s Remembrance Service in church was well attended, with many children taking part either with their Rainbows, Brownies, Beavers, Cubs or Scouts or with families.
Faye and Jessica read aloud the poems they had written on the theme of Remembrance and the
book of poetry (written by Beech and compiled by Mrs Butler) was left in church for the congregation to share. The girls’ readings touched everyone in church.
At the memorial, Bella and Bethany took their place with others laying poppy wreaths and represented our school wonderfully.
Earlier in the week, Beech class were able to place wooden crosses and poppies on the war graves in the churchyard and we will continue to reflect on the sacrifice of others when we observe the silence at 11.00am on 11th November.
