The Olympic Torch comes to Bournebrook

We were thrilled today to welcome John Jackson, from The Premier Group who came to talk to the school about how his company designed and made the Olympic Torch for the 2012 Olympics.

As this year is an Olympic year, it was a perfect opportunity for the older children to cast their minds back to the exciting events of 2012 and the younger children to find out about the Olympics for the first time.

John told us many stories about the torch, as well as answering children’s questions.  Five lucky youngsters got to hold the torch too!

John then presented school with a signed book for our library. Please click here to see pictures of the visit.

All at Bournebrook would like to express our gratitude to John and the team and to Mr Keeling for making the visit possible.
