Level 1 Teaching Assistant, 1:1

Scale D, SCP 4 – 5 (£10.98 per hour)

Full-time or Part-time (3+ days per week)

Term Time Only, from 8.40am to 3.15pm 3 days a week

Bournebrook C of E Primary School is a small, rural school with a strong Christian ethos. We are seeking to appoint a Level 1, 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide support to various pupils with additional requirements.

The successful applicant will possess:

· Teaching assistant experience, Team Teach training would be desirable.

· Strong behaviour management skills are a must.

· Team working skills to liaise with other teachers, teaching assistants, and other professionals such as speech and language therapists and Educational Psychologists.

· Committed to working with pupils with additional needs – this could include learning difficulties and/or challenging behaviours.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· The ability to build good relationships based on trust with pupils and their families

· Exceptional and consistent behaviour management skills.

· Flexibility and reliability.

· It’s important to be able to respond to the needs of the children and adapt or change plans accordingly.

· A high level of commitment to the pupils in your care.

· A positive, energetic and enthusiastic outlook.

· Patience, understanding and empathy with pupils and parents.

· Evidence of recent professional development to support the role

Lunchtime Supervisor & First Aider

Band B (£10.60 per hour)

Monday-Friday, 12.00-1.15pm

We currently have a vacancy for a Lunchtime Supervisor to assist with setting up the hall for lunchtime, helping to ensure the lunchtime routine runs smoothly and to provide First Aid to pupils, when necessary (certified training will be provided).

BROAD DESCRIPTION: Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of pupils during the lunchtime period. Contribute to the school’s statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.

Cover Lunchtime Supervisors & Cleaners.

Band B (£10.60 per hour)

Zero hour contract – to cover lunchtimes and/or cleaning, as required, due to staff absences.
